Think Like Krishna

YES+ Satsang started with banjans of Ganesh and went on with Hari Narayana,Durga , Guru, Gopala etc..and atlast Sagar main aak leher uti tere naam ki...uuuuuk uuuuk..

Wah what happy moments we had with Vasanthi Amma sharing her experiences and answering the Questions.

She said for youth it is LEARNING and for the adult it is UNLEARNING.

These are some of the questions that she has answered ..

1.How can the youth excel in spirituality without the distractions around the world?
A: There is no age for the distractions . Spirituality does not qualify with age. Distractions for spirituality happens at every age. The senses work at all the times , right from a small baby to the old people get distracted by the senses.
Do not judge anything as bad or good feelings or thoughts, when the feeling arises let it arise , bring back the attention towards the body and observe the sensation. Wonder about the feelings do not give advices to the mind .Just be happy.

We are made up of Physical, Mental & Spiritual Energy .Spirituality is the mother of the other two energies . Spiritual Energy is always present. Mind is full of thoughts ,but now we are listening and there are no thoughts but still we are here ,we are beyond our senses/thoughts/feelings. That is consciousness, which is basis of our being. In Youth the physical body undergo changes and the Physical energy dominates.

2.In Art of living people accept Innocence but outside they expect excellence and intelligence every where. How to be innocence and intelligent?
A: The question is not about innocence it is about ignorance .Innocence of an ignorant person is not good. Innocence is the openness to learns from all .Like Mother Earth taking sun energy.

Don’t think that I do not want money and I live like a swamiji , sitting in ashram. You have work ,take responsibility to know what is happening in the world and act accordingly. When you are thinking with mind , think like Krishna.

You have been given the process to understand your self and mind so make use of it to the fullest extent.

3.I don’t want to take responsibility these days and I feel like to escape from doing Sewa .

A: How long you can escape my dear. Divine will catch you later and make you to work over time. This over time job will not be paid , rather you have to pay more than what is required.

4. What is your message for people who seek attention?

A:I pitty them , they do not recognize how beautiful their self is . Demand for love is the worst thing for a human being. It is a immature attitude .Love is felt within our self and we look around for others appreciation and love .Love for oneself dissolve all demand and attention.

I dont remember the rest .After the Session we had a delicious Black forest and treat by Natsan Uncle as it was his Birthday.

Everything is Taken Care

Hi folks,

Yesterday we had a Star satsang , and the star is Vasanthi Srinivasan one of the Senior Art of Living teachers. She is so simple ,natural and very good devotee. She was Sharing experiences of GuruDev in her early days of Art of Living, Gurudev Himself gave training to her for the botherations( learning the Art) she had..He made her understand simple things but which are profound.Every time she brings a question He will ask her to sit and ponder on "who is asking the question?"..after sitting for some time and going through all the feelings ..she got an answer of "Simpliy just be ".

The way she definied MAYA(illusion) is awesome .."We look for happiness either in past or future, both past and future are not there NOW at present .So which is not there now and thinking it is there is MAYA" .
She took us a process where we were all just being with ourself .
At that time I was getting calls from my friend Morthy , I have invited him for the satsang but He was lost some where..so i just thought "Guruji ,take care of Morthy" . I ve finished the process , feeling good and natural after her guru stories ..I tried calling Morthy after Her sharing and I found Morthy just behind me wishing me Jai Guru Dev..! I was just jumping there and felt "Everything is taken care..!"

My brother (Karthik) has come to India after a long time. It was a great time being with him at home.He brought me a Cybershot Digi Cam from US. We aruged , laughed and i enjoyed doing yoga with him .
My father suddenly planned a trip to a beautiful place called Nandi hills (near bangalore) and Gattu Subramanya temple .
We really had fun spending time with nature and huge hills.

The happy moments are those where we live life naturally and enjoy everything .

I was amazed by the perfection of nature, the flowers were so beautiful and every petal so unique ..have captured some beautiful pictures . Please click the slidshow ..

Journey on 2nd March 2004

Conti...
All the 6 days I became more sensitive to my body and mind.I loved my breakfast ,lunch ,my torture lectures , my parents and mostly myself. Me and my friend Panda were the only youngsters in the course , we had 80 yr old couple and working ppl ..etc , all the time my teacher used to call us for the demonstrations ,I liked it becoz i had undergone (6mths) ragging in our college. When it came to my experience I showed my photo where I thought it was the beautiful smile that I always had and asked everybody the smile that I had then.. :) it was mind blowing moment ..
After that I have welcomed miracles to happen in my life ..registered to Adv course immediatly after the basic course .
I started doing small sewa like bring breakfast to my roommate etc..which made my frnds go nuts ...They became very sad that I eat slowly ,no parties (drinking), became disciplined and more centred .

Weekly satsangs were more enjoyable , teachers encouraged me giving books and tips for organizing intro talks.
I became the part of the AOL family , ppl invited me for dinners every day ..

Then the adv course strengthened the bond..DSN made to take more responsibility and Guruji brought light in my life...

I wish all a Happy Diwali

Journey on 2nd March 2004

Well my Journey towards my life started from a beautiful place called "Durgapur" , where I took teachings of life from my Guru H H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar..
I was(am) a crazy guy , without any insight , living so called happy life without the direction ..I had that dare to choose things which are challenging and unaware of ..
My bad company and habits raised so many questions like "Where am I heading to ? What is the purpose of my life?" ..but I was fighting to get an answer..

My first transformation happened with my friend Ramana who is a intelligent and simple guy ,he does so many religious practices, then I thought being religious will bring some discipline and direction to me..I went to tirupati and took a oath that I will not drink, eat non veg and smoke ...but my love was very superficial which came out of fear..It did not last for a long time..

I lost control on my senses ,lived a careless life.. no college and making fun out of all the things ..but the time has come where I have realized that breath has lots of secrets of life..just after the small HIT (Hostel Intro Talk) i took it preciously. All my friends said it is too costly and not for you ,..etc but I said "Once in a life time I must do this course" .. so the volunteer (Appa Rao Uncle ) followed up me properly by inviting me to the Satsangs saying that food will be served ..
I waited for atleast 1 month to do the course
Then on 2nd March I joined the Basic Course by K Niranajan Bh'ya..

Shabdo ke Jungle Main

"Shabdo ke Jungle main ..tu kyu phasa hai re...
Parabhrame ke ras se tera aa nas nas rama hai re..
Anand tu hi paramanad tu hi ..
Om main kho kar.. Om main ram kar ...Om main mil na hai ..

Maan apmaan ho tha kaha re...vo tho hai shabdo ki pakad..
Bhale bure Shabd tujhe hila de ..ith na tu nahi hai kamjore..
Om main kho kar.. Om main ram kar ...Om main mil na hai .."

This song by my Dear Teacher Vikram Hazra really brought a bigger shift in my Life..
All the thoughts most of times have some words associated with it..and mind says yes /no ..have to like this ..not to like this..do this ..do that.. always entangled in words..

Then I got a question "In guided meditation also guruji uses the words, In Meditation we Should not hear anything or talk anything "..for this question i got my answer in my Holi Adv course ..He said "these words are like sign boards they will show you directions for you to reach home..and the purpose of words is to create silence .."

After that I watched my thoughts when someone praise me /shout at me...i started realizing that am stuck to that the words that are used ...Silence in me is more joyful than the feeble words..

Realized that there is nothing called praise and blame in life ....

Silence is celebration.. :)

Sri Sri as I know Him??

I had a deep loving experience after my Basic Course and felt very happy hearing to the Guru Stories..I took a photo of Guruji , having a thought that it is bit costly . I took it and kept in my room, and i read the books which i got as gift .After that book reading i was completely blissful ..i slept and when i woke up in the morning to do my kriya at around 5 30 am..i could see a 50 rupee note lying just in front of my room ..felt very happy and shared the exp with all other friends and aol mates.. those days i used to think guruji as a good human being and a world reformer ..but when ever i used to hear him that he is God i was uncomfortable..
Day by day My mind is used to gaze at his photo after every action and the love grown and i started realizing that i dont need anyone other than guruji in my life.

The First gaze i got it from my Dearest guru was the day which my memory cannot stop thinking of..Till now all the decisions of my life are taken care by him and he is there with me all the time.. :)

Act without Expectation: It relaxes and rewards

A talk by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

It’s often believed that if people become spiritual and dispassionate about the outcome of their actions, they will stagnate; there will be no progress. In fact, the opposite is true. Creativity and enthusiasm can spring only when you are well rested; and you cannot rest if you are anxious about the outcome of your actions.

When we perform every action with an eye on the end result, we get lost in the end and don’t enjoy the means of getting to the end. But when we perform some actions as an expression of joy and do not bother about the result, the action itself brings fulfillment. When we act expecting joy, the action becomes inferior. For example, you want to spread happiness, but if you try to find out whether the other person has become happy, you get entangled in a vicious circle. In the process, you lose your happiness!

Anxiety about the outcome of your action is what pulls you down. At the beginning of a project if you start worrying, then your whole enthusiasm for the project gets dampened. When you are aware of your potential, just jump into action without bothering about the result. When you are in doubt, any activity you do will bring more doubts. When you have a choice, the grass on the other side will look greener and this prevents you from enjoying what you have in your hand. When you are bothered by a choice, relax.

The choice is never between good and bad; it’s always between bad and worse or good and better. Choices bring conflict and there is freedom in ‘choicelessness’. How can you be centred when there is conflict? There is a Chinese saying: that when you are in doubt, take a pillow and go to bed!

In Narada Bhakti Sutras, Narada says, “Karmanyapi Sanyasyati”. Take a break, not just from activity, but also from the fruit of the activity. It will bring deep rest from doubts and conflicts. One who is not concerned about the outcome and is centered on the action, goes beyond dualities, beyond conflicts. The wise one is beyond all actions. Yet he continues to engage himself in action. You can only let go of what you have. So to let go of the fruit of action, you need to have the fruit and to have the fruit, you need to act!

This is so beautiful. If you have never acted, then how can you drop either the action or the fruit of action. So be active. Keep doing your work, and drop the fruit of action. The fruit of action is there as the motivation for you to start acting. Krishna used the fruit of action to motivate Arjuna to fight. He told Arjuna that if you die in battle, you will attain heaven and if you win, you will rule the world. Jesus did the
same. When you are bogged down by laziness, you need motivation to do something and the expected fruit of action acts as the motivating factor.

But once you start acting, let go of the expected result. Just focus on the work on hand. This is the way of the wise!
